Finding Joy

joy

But the fruit of the Spirit is…Joy…Galatians 5:22

BRIGHT JOY!

As the new day’s sun

lights up the morn sky

Joy upon bright joy

Lifts my soul on high!

Reaching, oh, reaching,

Ever drawn upwards,

Glorious circuit,

On wings free as birds!

My soul flies unbound

In eternal glory’s

Realm of salvation;

God’s territory.

Oh Joy!  What bright Joy!

My soul, unfettered,

In forgiveness set free

By The Forgetter.

For,  just as the night

Is forgotten by

The new sun rising

Up into the sky,

Each new day’s mercy

Reminds us the grace

And favor of God,

By faith, sins erase.

So JOY come and flood

My soul with bright ray!

Forever, in Christ,

It is a new day!

Look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

daisy-joy-wordThough you have not seen him, you love him;and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.  1 Peter 1:8-9

Jesus, You are my joy.  There is no real joy apart from You.  Joy is a set thing and it has been set before us every day.  Your word alone illumines the joy you have waiting for us.   I remember those dark, joyless days of unbelief, but with faith comes JOY!

Help us to believe.

Joy flows from my heart, even despite dire circumstances, now that You have come to live there by faith, Lord.  Does that mean we walk around like everything is hunky dory okay?  Most certainly not!  But even in the midst of hell on earth we can have joy…in salvation.  No other religion can offer that.   Take up residence in every searching heart and bring them into a full knowledge of the truth.  Fill them with JOY!

In Your name, Jesus, Amen.

About lifevine

Hi! My name is Amy. I am a former atheist and, for a season, practiced witchcraft. God drew me out of darkness 17 years ago and gave me the spiritual gifts of knowing and faith. He gives me daily encouragement and affirmation and I hope to share Him with you. If you have not yet met the one true God, His name is Jesus Christ, and may I be the first to introduce you to Him? He is the Restorative Savior God promised Adam and Eve 6,000 years ago (Genesis 3:15) after they had sinned in the garden, bringing separation from God because of disobedience. It is rightly reported that a little over 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem He was born of a virgin, lived a blameless perfect life in and around Jerusalem, died on a cross on Golgotha for the world's sin, and 3 days later rose again. YES! ROSE AGAIN! AMAZING! Please get baptized in His name, and walk in an eternal restored fellowship with Christ. You can get to know Him by reading, marking, and inwardly digesting His Word.... His Holy Bible.
