Your Best Life Now Really?

Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed—God is our witness.

Beware the mask

Counterfeit smile.

The veil like wax,

Worn to beguile,

Phony honey

From bankrupt hives;

Stinging money,

Who can survive?

Idol forged hopes,

This god named cash.

Golden calf pope’s

Whitened teeth flash.

Faked hair pristine,

None out of place.

Begging’s routine-

The rich man’s grace.

“If you seed bills

In my pulpit,

It is my skill

To pick pocket.”

This irony,

Dollars and Joels,

They’ve sold their souls.

How do you know

If they have lied?

Do their words sow

Christ crucified?

Or do they reap

What they’ve not sown,

With grains of yeast,

The people’s dough?

Jesus, The time will come, and is here now, when people will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.  In their greed these teachers exploit with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.  Woe to teachers of the law and Pharisees, hypocrites! They clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.  They say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But they do not realize that they are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.   May those reading hear and heed Your Holy Spirit and stop listening to empty promises and turn toward the full and lavish and invaluable promises of God in Christ.  In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.  Jesus, you are the way, the truth, the life! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About lifevine

Hi! My name is Amy. I am a former atheist and, for a season, practiced witchcraft. God drew me out of darkness 17 years ago and gave me the spiritual gifts of knowing and faith. He gives me daily encouragement and affirmation and I hope to share Him with you. If you have not yet met the one true God, His name is Jesus Christ, and may I be the first to introduce you to Him? He is the Restorative Savior God promised Adam and Eve 6,000 years ago (Genesis 3:15) after they had sinned in the garden, bringing separation from God because of disobedience. It is rightly reported that a little over 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem He was born of a virgin, lived a blameless perfect life in and around Jerusalem, died on a cross on Golgotha for the world's sin, and 3 days later rose again. YES! ROSE AGAIN! AMAZING! Please get baptized in His name, and walk in an eternal restored fellowship with Christ. You can get to know Him by reading, marking, and inwardly digesting His Word.... His Holy Bible.

Thanks, Jennifer! I was meditating on “You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed” when the Lord illuminated ‘mask’ and showed me that the mask is something that is spiritually perceived. There is a falseness about those who preach Christ for profit. Fake smiles are a hint that there’s something more going on spiritually. It is easily discerned in Osteen…he wears a thick mask. Others are a little harder to discern, but the mask is there if we have eyes to see. Praise the Lord! Enjoy your day. Be blessed.
