To Church Or Not To Church?

That IS the question.

to church or not to churchAre you alarmed at your child’s behavior?  Are you alarmed at the behavior of your children’s friends?  With all of their iPhones, HDTV, Digital Cameras, Kindles, X Boxes and Wii video game consoles,  personal computers, laptops…have they all become emotionally disconnected, jaded, selfish and self absorbed?

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, without self control, fierce, despisers of those who are good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God…

What is the solution to their narcissism?

Repent Train up children in the way Jesus said, “I am the Way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

Have you been the kind of parent that “leaves the choice up to the kids” or “They can make up their own mind when they get old enough” or “I give my child the freedom to make their own decisions”?

These are all the fruit of apathy and compromise.

No matter how old your children are now….

Do you look around you and are scared for your child’s future?  Do you see moral decay and bad things happening, but you don’t understand it?

Repent Be strong and courageous!

Do you think back on the days of your youth and see a huge gap between then and now and wonder what in the world is going on?

Repent These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng.

Are you alarmed that there are so many rumors of war every where you turn?

Repent You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen

Are you scared?

Repent Israel’s troops lost heart and were scared stiff.

Are you anxious?

Repent Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Are you in turmoil?

Repent  I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only turmoil.

Are you desperate?

Repent You have shown your people desperate times.

Are you seeking a solution?

Repent Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the LORD your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the LORD God.

To Church or not to Church?

Repent Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

One more time…To Church or not to Church?

…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Jesus took upon Himself our sins and hung on a cross for 6 hours on a dark Friday and rose 3 days later on a Sunday morning.   He remembered the Sabbath, and became Our Sabbath.  May we honor His command to “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.”

Jesus….if we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make You a liar and Your word is not in us.  Holy Spirit, guide us….guide this entire country… to remember the Sabbath; to hear the Word that You may perhaps grant repentance and lead us to a knowledge of the truth.   In Your name I pray.  Amen!

Maranatha!  Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

About lifevine

Hi! My name is Amy. I am a former atheist and, for a season, practiced witchcraft. God drew me out of darkness 17 years ago and gave me the spiritual gifts of knowing and faith. He gives me daily encouragement and affirmation and I hope to share Him with you. If you have not yet met the one true God, His name is Jesus Christ, and may I be the first to introduce you to Him? He is the Restorative Savior God promised Adam and Eve 6,000 years ago (Genesis 3:15) after they had sinned in the garden, bringing separation from God because of disobedience. It is rightly reported that a little over 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem He was born of a virgin, lived a blameless perfect life in and around Jerusalem, died on a cross on Golgotha for the world's sin, and 3 days later rose again. YES! ROSE AGAIN! AMAZING! Please get baptized in His name, and walk in an eternal restored fellowship with Christ. You can get to know Him by reading, marking, and inwardly digesting His Word.... His Holy Bible.
