Truth Magnified

“The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place.  -Book of Daniel 11:36

What if everything you thought was the truth was really a lie?

What is truth?

Have you ever asked yourself that question?

Have you ever found the answer?

Or better yet, has the answer found you?

Pilate went back into the palace, called for Jesus, and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”  Jesus replied, “Did you think of that yourself, or did others tell you about me?”  Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own people and the chief priests handed you over to me. What have you done?”  Jesus answered, “My kingdom doesn’t belong to this world. If my kingdom belonged to this world, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. My kingdom doesn’t have its origin on earth.”  Pilate asked him, “So you are a king?” Jesus replied, “You’re correct in saying that I’m a king. I have been born and have come into the world for this reason: to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to me.”  Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” After Pilate said this, he went out to the Jews again and told them, “I don’t find this man guilty of anything.   John 8:33-38

WHAT IS TRUTH?

The Truth stood submissively by

while the halls of justice denied

the Spirit, water, and blood in

testimony, their witness cried!

Every word spoken pure silver.

Every act came forth as forged gold.

No fault is found in Truth’s witness.

Its purity makes it stone bold.

Its value, to what can compare

when held up to bare scrutiny?

Falsehood will drown out Truth’s silence

But lies can’t kill integrity.

Subterfuge still daring speaks forth

daily it is heard in the land,

but Truth comes quiet to seekers

like rich pearls form by grains of sand.

So listen for the quiet Truth.

It speaks loudly for all to hear,

by Word, by deed, by miracle,

but only to list’ning ear.

Who wins the victory over the world? Isn’t it the person who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?  This Son of God is Jesus Christ, who came by water and blood. He didn’t come with water only, but with water and with blood. The Spirit is the one who verifies this, because the Spirit is the truth.  There are three witnesses:  the Spirit, the water, and the blood. These three witnesses agree.  We accept human testimony. God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony that he has given about his Son.  Those who believe in the Son of God have the testimony of God in them. Those who don’t believe God have made God a liar. They haven’t believed the testimony that God has given about his Son.  This is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is found in his Son.  The person who has the Son has this life. The person who doesn’t have the Son of God doesn’t have this life.  I’ve written this to those who believe in the Son of God so that they will know that they have eternal life…the Son of God protects them, and the evil one can’t harm them.  We know that we are from God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.  We know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we know the real God. We are in the one who is real, his Son Jesus Christ. This Jesus Christ is the real God and eternal life.  Dear children, guard yourselves from false gods. 1 John:5-21

Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together. Psalm 34:3

Jesus, You said You are The Truth; the only Truth in a world of lies.  I believe You.  You are God.  Amen.

About lifevine

Hi! My name is Amy. I am a former atheist and, for a season, practiced witchcraft. God drew me out of darkness 17 years ago and gave me the spiritual gifts of knowing and faith. He gives me daily encouragement and affirmation and I hope to share Him with you. If you have not yet met the one true God, His name is Jesus Christ, and may I be the first to introduce you to Him? He is the Restorative Savior God promised Adam and Eve 6,000 years ago (Genesis 3:15) after they had sinned in the garden, bringing separation from God because of disobedience. It is rightly reported that a little over 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem He was born of a virgin, lived a blameless perfect life in and around Jerusalem, died on a cross on Golgotha for the world's sin, and 3 days later rose again. YES! ROSE AGAIN! AMAZING! Please get baptized in His name, and walk in an eternal restored fellowship with Christ. You can get to know Him by reading, marking, and inwardly digesting His Word.... His Holy Bible.
