Mini Miraculous Blessings

The other day I was astounded when I saw a picture on the internet of a newly discovered miniature chameleon.  It was so000 tiny and delicate and just gosh darn cute!!!

Then God said, “Let the earth produce every type of living creature: every type of domestic animal, crawling animal, and wild animal.” And so it was.  God made every type of wild animal, every type of domestic animal, and every type of creature that crawls on the ground. God saw that they were good. Gen 1:24-25

It astounds me to think that this little bugger has been there all along and just now, 6,000 years after creation, someone has discovered it.  For such a little creature it sure has endured.  I’m thankful to have been able to witness this mini miraculous blessing.

May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. All nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed. Psalm 72:17

That reminds me of another mini miraculous blessing I experienced last night.  I woke up in the middle of night to the sound of my gray-striped, white-socked tabby, Stella, purring loudly under my bed.   This is the first time I’ve ever heard any one of my three cats under the bed purring.  Usually they are in my lap getting a good ear scratching when their motor goes off.

As I lay there listening to the beautiful deep reverberation of her purr I just let myself soak and bask in the warmth of that gentle peaceful sound.  As I meditated on God’s creation He showed me the simple blessing of being able to hear her purr.  Then, in quick succession, He showed me a series of  other “mini miraculous blessings” that He pours out on me every day;  hearing the sound of a bird singing high up in a tree,  seeing a ray of sunshine stream through the window, watching a current of wind blow through a grain field, seeing the vibrant colors of a rainbow after the storm,   the smell of warm bread baking in the oven, that first taste of fine wine or good chocolate, the smile on someone’s face when they look your way, the gentle glow of reflected sunlight on the full moon’s face.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. Psalm 145:13

Then He showed me the most miraculous of all blessings;  the enduring, infallible, faithful, way He has preserved His Word down through the ages.  God is good.

He will endure as long as the sun, as long as the moon, through all generations.   Psalm 72:5

Abba Father, You are so good to us!  Your mini miraculous blessings pour forth from your bountiful storehouses.  Shower us with those mini miraculous snowflakes of blessings until we are covered with a blanket of pure white snow.  And, Jesus, I lift up a young friend of mine who is heavy on my heart.  We pray that she would be released from the darkness of homosexual sin that she is trapped in, Lord, so that she too, having a pure heart and being restored to you,  may experience your mini miraculous blessings on a daily basis.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About lifevine

Hi! My name is Amy. I am a former atheist and, for a season, practiced witchcraft. God drew me out of darkness 17 years ago and gave me the spiritual gifts of knowing and faith. He gives me daily encouragement and affirmation and I hope to share Him with you. If you have not yet met the one true God, His name is Jesus Christ, and may I be the first to introduce you to Him? He is the Restorative Savior God promised Adam and Eve 6,000 years ago (Genesis 3:15) after they had sinned in the garden, bringing separation from God because of disobedience. It is rightly reported that a little over 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem He was born of a virgin, lived a blameless perfect life in and around Jerusalem, died on a cross on Golgotha for the world's sin, and 3 days later rose again. YES! ROSE AGAIN! AMAZING! Please get baptized in His name, and walk in an eternal restored fellowship with Christ. You can get to know Him by reading, marking, and inwardly digesting His Word.... His Holy Bible.
