My son showed me something yesterday that he saw on tv the night before that was pretty amazing. Astounding even! He challenged me to take an ordinary chicken egg out of the fridge, put it in the palm of my hand and try to crush it with my bare hand.
I couldn’t do it.
He showed me that even if you try to crush it by squeezing the top and bottom between thumb and forefinger it is impossible to do. (I hovered over him as he was exerting all his effort just waiting for it to break and goo all over the sink.)
He then told me that on the program he was watching last night they had these great big buff physically fit weightlifters trying to crush one and they couldn’t do it either.
It really is the incredible edible egg!
What comes to mind is how protected we are inside of God. Even more so than the egg that he created.
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2
and since we are like an egg God holds in the palm of his hand…
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. John 10:28
Father God, Thank you that creation shows forth your majesty, even in something as simple as the egg you created. I thank you that when the seal was broken and the stone rolled away the tomb was empty. I’m forgiven. In Jesus name, Amen.
