Prayer

Who are you praying to?  Do you know?

You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men. You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to set up observe your own traditions!

Is the man you are praying to a tradition or Truth?

Prayer is talking to Me, Jesus.  It is a conversation.  It is my gift to you to communicate with your Spirit Father.  Prayer to anyone else, living or dead, or to anything else is a waste of your time.  If you are praying to idols formed by man’s hands then your prayers are just like their fashioned faces.  If you are praying to a dead person – sleeping saint, spirit, or otherwise – then your prayers will be dead, too. No joy.  Nothing.  Joy is a fruit of the Spirit…it does not have its origin in any man, but in God.

My Father  will give you whatever you ask in my name.  Until now you have not asked for anything in my name.  Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete!  When you pray are you filled with joy when you receive an answer?  More prayer to the true God = more answered prayer = more joy!!!

Jesus prayed to His Father.  He is our only example. The glory must go to the Living, not to the dead.

Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high.  My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God;  on behalf of a man he (Jesus) pleads with God as a man pleads for his friend.  Only a few years will pass before I go on the journey of no return.  -Job

Father God,  I pray that eyes would be opened to the Truth and not to some empty tradition or ritual of man.  You are my advocate and my friend.  You proved it on the cross.  What an offense it must be to You, Lord, when prayers are lifted up in any other name.  It is to you alone, Oh most Holy God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – that we pray.  In Jesus name, Amen

About lifevine

Hi! My name is Amy. I am a former atheist and, for a season, practiced witchcraft. God drew me out of darkness 17 years ago and gave me the spiritual gifts of knowing and faith. He gives me daily encouragement and affirmation and I hope to share Him with you. If you have not yet met the one true God, His name is Jesus Christ, and may I be the first to introduce you to Him? He is the Restorative Savior God promised Adam and Eve 6,000 years ago (Genesis 3:15) after they had sinned in the garden, bringing separation from God because of disobedience. It is rightly reported that a little over 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem He was born of a virgin, lived a blameless perfect life in and around Jerusalem, died on a cross on Golgotha for the world's sin, and 3 days later rose again. YES! ROSE AGAIN! AMAZING! Please get baptized in His name, and walk in an eternal restored fellowship with Christ. You can get to know Him by reading, marking, and inwardly digesting His Word.... His Holy Bible.
