Every ornament put away, a void. Every Christmas decoration taken down, emptiness. A taking down. A putting away. A sign that the season is over. Why so empty, Child? Why such sorrow? A seeming death. A going into the grave. The light has gone from December. Darkness seemingly returns to cover everything. There is a pall over the world again. Why does it feel as if you have lost your best friend? Why do you feel this separation in your soul? This emptiness? Could it be that your soul senses what all of Heaven must have felt that first Christmas when Jesus came down in human flesh?
Christmas is a remembrance. In the remembering there can be no dwelling, abiding. That is why you suffer such loss. Come to Me, Child, The Living Word. There is restoration and peace that lasts not only a season, but a year, a whole lifetime, an eternity. If you look at Christmas through the eyes of scripture you will be filled to overflowing and the emptiness and sorrow of a finished season will flee. I Am the Living CHRISTmas. I Am. Always. Christmas never ends in My Home, and Easter is coming!
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
