The mirror of your own mortality

Teach me to number my days rightly so that I may gain a heart of wisdom.  Have a teachable attitude, Child.  Do not act as if you know everything.  Be open and listening and tuned to the voice of God.  Know that you do not know everything.  You do not know very much at all.  But your Heavenly Father knows, and He is available to you day and night.  Know that your days are numbered, finite, limited.  You only have a set number of days on earth.  Use them well.  Use them to create and serve and honor and bring glory to My Name.  Everything you do for yourself will perish, but the work you do for the Lord will endure forever.  Know Truth.  Know that there is a right way to number your days and a wrong way.  Be in the Lord.  Be in His Word.  Start every day giving a little bit of it back to Him in prayer, praise, singing, thanksgiving, and honor.  This way you gain and do not lose.  I have given you a heart.  A heart to hear.  A heart to respond.  A heart to listen.  My word resides in your heart.  Jesus has come to live in your heart.  That is where wisdom comes from.  You cannot attain wisdom without the mind of God, the mind of Christ.  You are senseless and foolish and futile in your attempts;  weak and feeble seeking to find wisdom apart from the Wise One.  What a wasted and wanting day.   Be taught to number your days, Child.  I am teaching you through the mirror of your own mortality.  Do not look away from the mirror, Child, but look full into its image.  See that you will die.  See that in Christ death no longer holds any fear.  You were crucified with Christ, therefore, you no longer live, but Christ lives in You.  Christ is eternal.  Christ is living.  Death no longer has mastery over Him.  You are alive in Christ.  Death shall have no victory over you.  I am in authority over all death, disease, and darkness.   They are in submission to Me.  Your days are numbered, but they are also secure in Me.  Be wise, Child, be wise.
